Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, 10 January 2012: The Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi has announced its fellowships and awards for 2011 here on Tuesday
morning.
The winners of the awards are: Remesh Narayanan (Vaipattu), Margi Madhu, Kelath Aravindaksha Marar (Parambarya kala), Enjakkat Ramachandran (Kathakali)
Guruvayoor Gopi (Nadaswaram), Selma George (light music) and Sreenarayanapuram Appumarar (Chenda).

All India Hindustani Sangeet Shibir 2011
A workshop on Hindustani classical music has been organized jointly by "Pandit Motiram Narayan Sangeeth Vidyalay" of 'Mewati Swathi Gharana' and Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust Kerala at Thonnakal Sathyasai village, on 23rd, 24th, 25th in the coming month of December. The maestro 'Pandit Ramesh Narayan' of 'mewati swathi Gharana' will be leading the workshop in ethnic Gurukul style with a team of renowned musicians which includes 'Aditya narayanan Banerjee kolkotta, disciple of tabla legend 'Pandit Swapan Choudhary' , on various fields of the Hindustani classical music. The importance of riyaz (practice) in the morning and evening, 'chilla' and 'taan rendering', time theory of raga rendering etc will be explained in this shibir. Those with passion, curiosity or just an urge for Hindustani Classical can attend this workshop. Certificates will be issued for the same. The workshop which will be held for three days will be absolutely free, providing free accommodation and food facilities' in the Sathyasai village itself.
